Pastor’s Corner — We began a new sermon series on the Psalms this past Sunday. During the congregational meeting, I recommended a stand-alone copy of the ESV Psalms published by Crossway The price went up to $15 since I purchased this a few weeks ago. It’s still a good deal. The leather version is more expensive. Why do I need this if I have the Psalms in my Bible? The answer is that you get very clean, large print pages with no cross references or other clutter. This makes it much easier to meditate and pray through the Psalms.
Short Work Day This Saturday! — The deacons are requesting your help for a short work day this Saturday, May 12th, from 8 till 10 AM or so. They need to finish up the outside yard work. Please consider coming out and helping for a couple of hours. They could also use a couple of extra wheelbarrows and shovels to move mulch. Here’s a list of the work that needs to be done.
• Trim bushes in front of church
• Trim hedge behind church
• Plant ornamental grass behind church
• Plant flowers in front bed
• Spray perimeter of bldg for bugs
• Spray parking lot for weeds
• Dig out roots of the dead holly bushes
• Lightly mulch front flower bed
• Mulch around church sign, trees, back planting bed and along the holly hedge
If you have any questions, please contact Deacon Tod Tageson

Pentecost Pig Roast — Our annual Pig Roast is just around the corner. It’s Spring again, so it’s time to roast a few piggies and pig out together to celebrate Pentecost Sunday on May 20. Please send the information to Barb Hoover. This is the last Sunday to sign up for it. If you have graduates, please let Barb Hoover know. Thank you!
Baby Shower — Ladies, you are invited to a Baby Shower that will bless one of our newest families, Matthew and Catie Hon, tomorrow on Thursday, May 10th. This is an ideal opportunity to get to know Catie, or even meet her if you haven't yet! Missionary Update & Prayer — Give thanks for the support raised for the Burundi Miracle Project!
Dear friends of Burundi Miracle Project,
The LORD heard your prayers and the prayers of his children living in Burundi. Georgette and her team can now begin purchasing supplies and medicines for the new clinic.
Psalm 96:8-10 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering, and come into his courts. Worship the LORD in holy splendor; tremble before him, all the earth. Say among the nations, "The LORD is king! The world is firmly established; it shall never be moved. He will judge the peoples with equity."
Some of you have reached out to say you were not able to give online during the Give STL Day 24 hour campaign, but you still would like to help fund the medical clinic. No problem! Checks made out to "Burundi Miracle Project" can be sent to BMP c/o Brooks Moore, 695 Hawbrook Ave., St. Louis, MO 63122

The Week’s Scripture Passage (for the feast of the Ascension of our Lord) — Hebrews 4:14-16
Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with your weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
